Hundreds of professionals have participated in HANDLE training programs and are incorporating aspects of HANDLE theory and practice into their work. However, the training necessary to become a Certified HANDLE Practitioner is extensive and specialized.  Not everyone is capable of achieving this goal.  Do not be misled to believe that individuals who claim they have received HANDLE training are capable of performing accurate assessments or of recommending appropriate activities.  If you have been evaluated by someone who claims to be a Certified HANDLE Practitioner but his or her name does not appear on this list, please contact us.  We want you to receive the services your special needs deserve.

If you are seeking a HANDLE trained professional in your area, and do not find any one listed, please contact the office to determine when an intern from your area may be eligible to work with individuals, or when a HANDLE Affiliate will be in your area for consultations. If you encounter anyone whose name does not appear on this list, and who represents himself or herself as authorized to practice the HANDLE approach, contact the Institute, to determine to what degree the individual in question has been trained.
